Terms of Use — Letterbeat

Letterbeat is a motion-graphics video maker published by Axpenproj. There are no accounts and no sign-in, the app has no internet access at all, and your projects, photos and videos stay on your device.

The deal

Letterbeat is provided to you free of charge. You may install it on devices you own and use it to make videos. By using it you accept these terms; if you do not, uninstall it.

Your content

The photos, videos and words you put into Letterbeat stay yours. You are responsible for having the right to use them, including footage or pictures of other people and any copyrighted material, and for not using the app to make anything unlawful, hateful or harassing.

Videos you make

The videos you export are yours to keep, post and share anywhere, including commercially. That covers the template animations and the soundtrack Letterbeat generates, as they appear in your video. What this does not cover is taking the templates, soundtrack generator or app apart to redistribute or sell them as a product of their own.

Nothing to buy

There is nothing in this app that can be bought, and no advertising in it. Every template, font and feature is included.

Your projects

Projects are saved only on your device. They are not backed up to any server, so uninstalling the app, clearing its data or losing the device loses them. Keep the original photos and videos you care about: Letterbeat works from copies and is not a backup.

What the app is made of

Letterbeat’s code, templates and music generator are the property of Axpenproj. The typefaces are the work of their designers, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 or the Apache License 2.0, and are credited in full in the app under About → Font licences. Those remain the property of their authors.

Fair use

Please do not modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute or sell the app itself.

No warranty

The app is provided as is. It may contain bugs, an export may fail, it may stop working after a device or OS update, and it may be withdrawn or stop being updated at any time. To the extent the law allows, Axpenproj is not liable for any loss arising from using it, including lost projects. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Changes

These terms may change in a later version of the app, and the date above changes with them. Continuing to use it after an update means accepting the version shipped with it.
